My aim is to make the whole process of carrying out a pregnancy scan on your pet as worry and stress free as possible.

A pregnancy scan can be  performed at 30 days post mating or post ovulation. 

Scans are non invasive and involves applying some gel onto your dog or cat’s abdomen and obtaining life pictures using Ultrasound. In most cases the dog will not need to be shaved to perform a good scan. 

I am unable to confirm numbers exactly as many factors can affect pregnancies, however, a rough estimate and estimated due date will be given. I can also take pictures and record footage of the scan which I can then send to you.

I use an up to date, modern scan pad and I am fully qualified with AUA. I work in a clean environment with clean equipment that will not put your animal at risk.
I cover Torbay, Exeter, Plymouth and surrounding areas.

Happy Paws Ultrasound was named after my much loved boy, Happy.
Pregnancy and whelping has always been a great passion of mine, whelping my first litter single handedly at the age of 13. 

Dogs are a big part of my life and I train and compete in agility with my Papillons and Border Collie. I have competed for GB with the IFCS World Agility Championships 5 times with three different dogs.

I live in a quiet village in Devon where there are plenty of rural walks and breath taking views.

At Happy Paws Ultrasound  I offer Pregnancy Confirmation Scanning in the comfort of your own home, therefore enabling your pet to feel more relaxed and comfortable during the whole process. 

I cover Torbay, Exeter, Plymouth and surrounding areas. There is a small mileage fee beyond 5 miles of Torbay.

Scans can be carried out from 30 days post mate. I am also able to scan up until their due date to check puppies are still viable. I can visit you at home, as many pets become worried and agitated visiting other premises so this enables them to be in their own surroundings where they are more relaxed.

I am able to estimate gestation age and due date. However this is only an estimate valid at the time of the scan due to elements that may affect the pregnancy. These will be explained during the scan process.
